Make a Difference Day

Make a Difference Day is a national day of service sponsored by USA Weekend magazine and the Hands on Network/Points of Light Institute. The Volunteer Action Center works with over 40 nonprofit organizations, schools and parks to develop meaningful service projects all over the Northwest Arkansas area.

On October 20, 2012, the event engaged 1,100 community members and students who volunteered together to make a tremendous impact in NWA! Their partnerships with 35 nonprofit agencies resulted in beautified parks, painted agencies, issue awareness and an economic impact of over $105,000!
