AmeriCorps is the federal agency connecting individuals and organizations through service and volunteering to tackle the nation’s most pressing challenges. The Center for Community Engagement serves as an AmeriCorps VISTA site where VISTAs focuses on making sustainable changes in areas that affect poverty, including education, public health, climate, access to benefits, and more.
Serving as an AmeriCorp VISTA for the Center for Community Engagement is great for students taking a gap year, graduated students ready to kickstart their career and gain professional experience, or students wanting to stay in Fayetteville before their next steps.
There are many benefits to the VISTA program. VISTA members in the program gain professional experience and leadership skills. Center for Community Engagement VISTAs gain skills and experience vital to graduate school applications.
